It's Spring at Ville

Ville de Coeur has become one of my favorite places to visit in SL. I really love how the owners continuously change it and so you get new stuff to explore every time. I am planning on doing more pictures on my ventures but for now I took a picture perfect for this spring.

Lauressa

One of the many new releases at Sascha's Designs. Sascha has a true talent when it comes to making clothes and she did it again with this new release.

Lauressa Creme Gown is a beautiful mesh gown with 3 flexi skirts attachment options, gloves + omega appliers and mask. I am in love with Sascha's rococo flexi skirts, which is the one I am wearing in the picture. Lauressa also has a gold embroidery which gives it a classic feeling.

Go to the store to try the free demo or buy it on marketplace.

Audace School of Modeling

This weekend I had the opportunity to be a student for FREE at Audance school of Modeling. I am very thankful for this opportunity. On this first day I already learned alot.
We were 5 ladies in class and our teacher was Popper Tigerpaw. She is a very nice and friendly person which made me feel at home even though I was very nervous.

MW Styling Challenge

Model’s Workshop is a wonderful group that offers help for any model or aspiring model. The amount of experience you have, or don’t, doesn’t matter at all as one of the main goal is to improve the ability as a model in various areas. It is a great way to follow classes (often free), practice and make new contacts.

Audance Model of the Month March

After a long time of not participating and practice I decided to join the Audience monthly contest. This event took place last Sunday 6th March on 1 PM SLT.

Being too passive and dormant is the worse, even though I have been busy with other projects.
I like doing positive activities that serve not only as a personal motivator and fun but also a great chance to learn new things and be more social ( I can be extremely shy and socially awkward).

The theme was St. Patrick's Day. I spend a lot of time styling my outfit and everything I choosed had a meaning. Afterwards I learned I shouldn't focus on just one thing but on the whole picture including runway and poses. Also sometimes less is more.
I was very nervous but it was a great event, decorations were very nice and the crowd and judges were amazing. In the end the beautiful Alarica Resident won, very well deserved her look was on point and she looked like a queen not to mention the beautiful poses.

Let me show you my outfit and the description I give during my presentation:

Looking back: Miss EOE Ghana 2012

In 2012 I made it to the Miss Essence of Ebony 2012 as Miss Ghana. Unfortunately I got sick and couldn't compete in the 2012 finals. I am still very proud to have made it that far and also about my styling looks and how I wanted the outfits to represent the country Ghana. I am originally Caribbean and didn't know much about Ghana. I took time and effort to collect all the information about that country to make sure I could represent the country and its people the right way, as every miss should :)

I am sad I couldn't push through it and make it to the finals, but also very happy that I learned new things and did the best I could with what I had. Now, after some years I decided to make my second outfit public because it was after all one of my styling looks that I am proud of. I auditioned with two looks, the first outfit was the one I presented on the runway and brought the title of Miss EOE Ghana 12 . Hopefully others will like this second outfit too:

Outfit 2 Monthly audition EOE SueGeeli DeCuir:

Inspiration
The flag of Ghana

The flag was adopted after Ghana gained independence from the British and hence the use of the color red in the flag signifies the blood of the martyrs in the freedom struggle. Gold denotes the mineral wealth of the country and green is the symbol for its rich natural vegetation. The black star is said to symbolize the lodestar that was used in the freedom struggle.
To bring out these colors with a powerful meaning to all the people of Ghana I am wearing the amazing Serafina gown of Purple Moon. I used a color mix, from top to toe Serafine in ruby, gold and emerald. To resemble to Black star on the flag I used the hair adornment of Purple Moons Edelweiss in black, a gown specially desgned as the National Gown for Miss Germany, Leandra Breen. This I used to represent the lodestar, a relatively bright, easily found star that is used to find direction. To lead the way to inspiration and the right path. Accesories used are Finesmith Amor; e necklace, earings and bracelets. Je suis nails and Aleida's Malene pumps in mustard.

'God bless our homeland Ghana,
And make our nation great and strong,
Bold to defend for ever
The cause of Freedom and of Right'
